Description
Giulio Iacchetti, an industrial designer since 1992 and creator of the new Alesi travel mug, has worked for a number of different brands, including Alessi, Artemide, Ceramiche Refin, Danese, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, Magis, Moleskine and Pandora design. One of his distinctive features is the research and definition of new types of object, such as Moscardino, a multi-purpose biodegradable cutlery set. In 2009, he won the "Innovation Prize" awarded by the President of the Italian Republic for the Eureka Coop project, through which he brought design to mass retailing. In May 2009, the Milan Triennale hosted an exhibition entitled "Giulio Iacchetti. Disobedient objects". Always attentive to the evolving relationship between craft and design, in November 2012 he launched Internoitaliano, the "diffuse factory" made up of numerous craft workshops with which he signs and produces furniture and accessories inspired by the Italian way of life.
